Hi folks,

I'm experiencing problems with MLO Cloud sync: it doesn't seem to preserve the 'start date' weighting factor in MLO.

I can reproduce this problem with the following steps:

1) Go to Tools > Options > To-Do ordering options.
2) Set 'Start date' slider to a new value -- e.g. fully left or fully right. OK out of the menus.
3) Press F9 to force a sync.
4) Go back to Tools > Options > To-Do ordering options. The slider has returned to position 2.

Can other people reproduce this too, or is it just me?

Thanks!
Stuart.

I noticed this same problem last March.
See this post:

The only solution I found was to not use the minimum setting on any of the weight sliders.

Thanks Steve. How frustrating! Given that you mentioned it on here back in March 2012, I'll drop an email to the support address, too. It's probably one of those bugs that's relatively easy to fix, but just hasn't yet got to the top of the list!

All the best,
Stuart.

Hello,

Just a brief update: I've heard back from Alexandra, after emailing the MLO support address. Apparently it was previously thought that this bug had been fixed a year ago, so it's now being looked into again, which is great news. I'll post when I hear any more information.

Stuart.

And another update, folks: I've emailed to check on progress with this bug (given that it's been over 2 years now!), and had the following reply:

---
Hello Stuart,
The bug is fixed, but is still under testing and is not available for public users yet. We plan to push it to production soon, but cannot say the exact date.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
---

I've asked to be dropped an email when this is fixed, because the cloud sync service will finally then be useful -- hopefully this will be soon...

Stuart.

Stuart,

This fix has been tested and applied on production cloud servers. Please let me know if it works as expected for you new.

Andrey.

Hi Andrey,

Many apologies for my delay, but I've now taken out a new subscription to the MLO Cloud Sync service, and can verify that this issue is now fixed. Thank you so much for taking the time to address this -- it's made the cloud sync service so much more useful to me and others who were experiencing the problem!

Best wishes,
Stuart.
