How does 'Collab' work?

Hi all,

One of the advertised features is 'Collab', how does this work?

In the Cloud area, I don't see any facility to invite users or assign permissions, and I've got MLO Pro for Windows and Android.

Hello there,

I am now running one single MLO profile which contains the tasks of folder trees of "My Job Life Layer" and "My Private Life Layer".  Let's say I want to share the tasks of "My Job Life Layer" to my colleagues, I am picturing that I need to separate the tasks of "My Job Life Layer" from my one single MLO profile, but this can be an issue to me, because I also utilize Starred View for scheduling all my tasks in one same day, which means I can mixed the tasks of "My Job Life Layer" and "My Private Life layer" in Starred view, but if I separate the tasks of "My Job Life Layer" to another MLO profile and shared with my colleagues, that probably means that I can no longer utilized Starred View for the tasks mixed with "My Job Life Layer" and "My Private Life Layer", am I picturing this correctly?

Following my previous question and before any kind person shed me some light on, I am thinking that is it possible to share certain tasks with certain context to my colleague in aforementioned one single MLO profile?  It can be a solution to the issue if it is possible, so, is it possible to Collaborate with a subject through filter of context?

I would like to know, who advertized that MLO was for company collaboration? We should probably correct them, not try to pretend.

Short answer: Keep backups of the local file if you don't want to lose stuff by deletion, error, otherwised messed-up sync from cloud. What else could be said in this context? No such thing as team members in this system but could go ahead and inform them yourself. Many tools good for communicating with teams.

The purpose of Cloud sync is simply so that the one person with the account can have multiple devices. You would not be using all the devices simultaneously so even trying to do that could cause problems.

Thanks I hope they will now reword that, if it made anyone think this provides collaboration tools.

As you may know, the short description

" Share your task list with other people located anywhere or even work together on the same project."

is not what business means by calling it "colaboration".

You might also know that being in Ukraine, there are sometimes misunderstanding about how English words are used to describe things.

This is why all I'm saying about this is that they should not use the word. Yes you can hopefully have someone else log in the same account and see your tasks and which are completed. Not saying much is it.

I think I can help now that I got my disclaimers out of the way...

There would not be selective sharing of individual folders or parts of the .mlo file. Instad you would have a different file for work stuff than the file for personal stuff that you don't want to share.

Then the mlo cloud account could serve only the work file, and they would syncronize with the whole file. That's how it works that I know of, but I haven't used cloud sync since my free trial many years ago so I don't remember how you control which files to sync.

I also don't think there is a multi-user login for a single account, right? So it would be share the credentials and then they can connect to sync. All who log in would own it just as much, to do whatever changes they feel like. Because from the perspective of MLO cloud sync, they are you.
