How do I display the Today View tasks with detail of the parent task?

I might have several tasks due on a day: let’s say there are three tasks: Job 1, Job 2 and Job 3. Each has subtasks with the same name: pick, pack, dispatch and invoice. At the moment I am only seeing three sets of these subtasks in the Today View and unable to tell which is which.

This seems such a simple requirement that I think I am not using MLO correctly.

TIA

There is no option to display a parent task name unless it is a project. You can convert your three parent tasks into projects. Then choose to show Date+Project (instead of Date+Context) next to a task: open the main menu-> Settings->Appearance->Props Line.

I address this problem by naming my tasks accordingly.
  • Job 1
    • Job 1: pick
    • Job 1: pack
    • Job 1: dispatch
    • Job 1: invoice
  • Job 2
    • Job 2:pick
    • Job 2: pack
    • Job 2: dispatch
    • Job 2: invoice
Be careful: this can get really confusing if you try this approach in combination with Alyona's suggestion.

I use this option to display the parent task:
