Despite of the bugs already mentioned i decided to purchase MLO Windows and iOS and even subscribed to the cloud Syncservice. I´m still not sure if it was the right thing to do but i needed a mobile syncing solution fast.

When buying MLO 2 for the iPhone on the Appstore i got a message that cloudsync still is critical and that i get free sync for rating the app. I wish i had this information before. ;-(

I did not get free sync but subscribed to one year sync anyway. Although i got the sync kind of working i face the following issues:

Most tasks with recurrence does not sync from the windows version to the iphone. Some however do but i don´t see any logic or connection why some are synced and others not. If i alter those tasks on the windows app they are recognized as changed by the cloud. But they get not synced to the phone. Instead after sync those tasks change their individual background colour given to the standard colour !!!   WTF?

I tried a dozen different sync files and reset Sync also several times.

Can please anybody help me?

Thank You
Alex

BTW.

How often does the windows version and iphone sync to/from the cloud anyway? (timeinterval?)

I found a solution. If i use the actionfilter "ALL" and a complex advanced filter i can make those tasks visible on the phone without seeing completed tasks. Why they don´t appear in the other actionsfilter i still don´t understand. I think they meet the criteria.

Hi, Alex. I just noticed that nobody got back to you on this question. Sorry. If you have tasks that show up with the "ALL" filter but not with the "ACTIVE" filter, that means that the tasks are inactive. To determine if any task is active or not, and to learn the reason why an inactive task isn't active, check the "task info" display. On windows, it's in the right hand panel, in the section called "task statistics" at the tag "Action:" - I don't know the iphone but I'm pretty confident that this information is displayed somewhere in the iphone app.

The seven reasons why a task might be inactive are listed on page 41 of the User's Guide. Here's a copy of that section:
If Active is selected as the Action Filter then only Active tasks are placed in the list first and then other
filters can be used to select tasks from this list. To be placed on the list of Active actions, a task must
meet all criteria listed below:
1) the task must not have subtasks or these subtasks should be completed
2) the task must not have completed parent tasks
3) the Start Date for the task is not set or Start Date is now or in the past
4) the task must not have the option Folder checked
5) the task must not have the option Hide branch in To-Do List checked for this task as well as for any of
its parents
6) If one of the task's parents has the option Complete subtasks in order checked, this task must have
all above siblings completed to be placed in the list. Or these siblings can have Hide in To-Do option
set.
7) If the task has dependency tasks these dependency tasks must have been completed.
