Why would a task marked as due today not show in Active tasks view?

I have a project folder, and in it I have several tasks due today, one of them is repeating. None of these show in my Active Tasks view.  Ican not figure out why

They are not hidden, and I do not have any filters on (that I know of), etc.

I have other project folders with tasks with, as far as I can see, all the same settings, etc. and I see those tasks

Any ideas of things to check are welcome

Desktop, right?

Select one of these projects and look in the PROPERTIES section at the righthand sidebar. Looke for the division called "task statistics" which might be near the bottom. Look for "Action:" in the Task Statistics section. Based on your description I would expect it to say "Inactive Action" - if so, look at the next line and it should tell you why it is inactive.

As always, Dwight to the rescue!  I had forgotton about that trick of looking in Statistics!  The problem was 'Inactive due to complete tasks in order'  but the project folder did not have that option enabled!

BUT! it turns out the project was a subfolder, and yes, the parent folder had 'complete tasks in order' enabled (why I do not know)

So, problem solved, and time to check my other project folders... ;')
