In a complex project with many levels, I have found that I need a way of capturing ideas, comments, to-do's, etc that will allow me to shape the final result.  Although I have worked with an earlier version of MLO (awesome program, I MUST say), I think I "lost the bubble" after being away from it for far too long and am reaching out for some advice.  Is there a way of capturing notes that can be attached to various stages of the outline so that I can keep the flow straight and adjust as circumstances change?  Can anyone tell if "notes" can be attached to various activities in the "tree" or somehow held in a reference pool where I can go back and refresh my memory on what it is I was trying to do.  If nothing else, it sure would help me keep a ready status report on where I am and where it is that I need to focus more.  Appreciate any and all words of wisdom.

Do you mean like after clicking any task in the outline, there is the Note space on the right, above the Properties where you can type any notes you need for that item

Hi Peter,

I am not sure but, there is no way to attach a note to various activities at the same time (you mean at once?) in MLO Desktop.

I suggest you to create a folder (if you want to change the icon, do it at your will), to use as a note taking container (under properties on the right panel).

As you take your notes, organize yourself in a system, so that, for every note you create a link under it for the task you want to accomplish.

P.S. - The folder mentioned above can be your project main folder if you want.

I hope it helps.

As far as I know, notes are a block of text that applies only to that task. The task has a caption, and then there are properties such as due date, completed date, context, and the notes.

Working with an outline: sometimes when you create a child, it will inherit certain things from the parent, such as context. I don’t think that a child can inherit the notes of a parent.

I don’t think I help you. Of course, we don’t know how you were thinking about your project and how your outline is formed.
