Is there a way to keep the line breaks in Task Notes when Properties Pane is active?

Current situation:
1) When the Properties Pane is active, the text in Task Notes is collapsed (line breaks are removed for visibility)
2) When I click in Task Notes, the Properties Pane is collapsed
I would like to have this situation:
1) When the Properties Pane is active, the text in Task Notes is NOT collapsed. A Vertical Scrollbar is added to scroll the text
2) When I click in Task Notes, the Properties Pane is NOT (by default) collapsed
Is this possible?

Hi Alyona,
This is not the same I asked.
It's not about markup language.
My question is about keeping the Properties Pane visible when the Task Notes Pane is active and
keeping the Task Notes Pane (without collapsing the text) when the Properties Pane is active.
(btw I know other software which implemented a markup language, I've never used it.
I want to keep the text as text in order to copy it to other applications if I need it.
I prefer the "B(old), I(talic), U(nderline)" style as in google groups but I suppose this
is not possible in MLO without rewriting the entire code)

In MLO 5 the properties/task notes panes are not collapsed in the active Edit mode. So, the Properties Pane is visible when the Task Notes Pane is active and the Task Notes Pane (without collapsing the text) is visible when the Properties Pane is active. I've recorded a video to show it. Does it work the way you like?

What happens when you insert a lot of text in Task Notes Panes in the active Edit mode? Is there a scrollbar?
