Hi all.

Every time I open a new window with F3 I have the same issue: how to find the task(s) I wish to use into this new window?
I know that the Search function is already active by the digitation of the first part of the name of the task, but this Search function cannot find other occurrencies of the same name (or at least I don't know how to make this happen).

Is there any people that knows how to search other next occurrencies?

An alternative could be to make the new window have the same selected task(s) as the original window.

What do you think? Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Cheers!

Well,
I think that, precisely, the purpose of this new window is to be able to drag task to another place, thus possibly to a place with a different focus
If you really want to keep focused on the task, why don't you simply stay on the main window?

robisme, you are right. The matter is: assumed that I want to drag&drop a task from a window on main frame to the F3 window, and assumed that the F3 window appears plenty of tasks/subtasks, how to get exactly the new focus on F3 window, to drop the dragged task (example: a Parent task to draggged the task as child)?
But now it is easier to find the exact position on the F3 window, by using the new "Filter by text" function available on the new release 4.2.0: the windiw F3 continues to appear filtered with the same filters set on the Parent window that I used to geterate the F3 view. So by inserting the appropriate text string on the original window, also the F3 window will stay tuned the same way.

Hi,
You pointed me on this behavior : text filtering the main windows will also filter the F3 windows.
I must say that I don't like this feature at all. I'd rather had a specific text filtering for the F3, like the one in the move window (ctrl+M)

Yes, I agree with you, robisme. But the filter on the main window affects also the F3 window and just for now that's all we get. Hope that our preference will be implemented. Thank you.
