Don't want actions from not started or suspended project to show in to-do

There is something in the project management in mlo that is, in my sense, completely illogic. Tell me if there is something I'm missing here:
If I change the status of a project from "In progress" to "suspended" or "not started", the actions related to that project should (automatically) not show in to-do anymore.
Or, at least, there should be a checkbox somewhere, giving me the possibility to work within mlo that way.
And by the way, I find it's one too many steps to 1) change project status to lets say "Suspended" and then 2) Hide that project's branch in to-do.
Any comments would be appreciated!
Luc

It's easy. Add the following criteria to your todo view under "Advanced"

ProjectStatus <> Suspended AND
ProjectStatus <> NotStarted

These criteria apply to tasks underneath projects as well, I just checked.

Thanks Lisa for your answer!
Worked out partially well!
The problem that occured is that ALL items (also those who are not part of a project) have a " not started" default setting. So, that being said, when I apply what you recommend, the actions related to a "in progress" project appear in to- do, but all other actions related to a checklist (non project) dissapear, because of that default "not started"!
But wait (just have an idea here), if I switch to "in progress" all of my checklists, maybe that would work!
Thanks again!
Going to try this last approach!

Ah. First you might want to just try adding a criteria of ProjectName is not empty or is <> ""

Would be good if there was a short-cut key to be able to quickly
change project status, rather than fish around in the properties
section every time this needed to be done.

Totally agree with you Chuckdevee to have a shortcut key to quickly change project status

Luc, Chuckdevee,

I came across this thread looking for a solution to the same problem. Could you indicate how you ended up configuring your system so it works naturally? For naturally I understand exactly what Luc stated 1 year ago. If I set 1 project to suspended, all its actions should disappear from the to-do. We could argue about whether a project "not started" has to work the same way for projects have preeliminary steps, but I personally would expect not started to behave likewise suspended projects.

In  other words, if you need to work on some preeliminary steps of a project, then simply create a (mini)project named the same, and set it to in progress while the big project is set to "not started"

Thanks
