No luck finding what's described in User Guide Ch. 6.4:
"To indicate that the task is a goal
1. Select a task you want to set as a goal
2. On the General section of the task Properties Pane, select Week, Month or Year"

my properties/general shows only:
importance
urgency sliders and
check boxes for
folder
hide
complete

Any help?

I looked for a similar properties edit process to convert tasks to project, could not find either, but resorted to just adding new project, renaming it after the intended task and moving subtasks to the new project...

thanks

Hey Strobe,

If you right click on properties you can select configure and then you get a bunch of check boxes one of which is goals. Attached pic is where to right click and the pop up.

Not sure what you mean for a project, but maybe it is not selected as well?

If that doesn't work you can use keyboard shortcuts to set a weekly goal (alt-W) and project (alt-J

Hope that helps!

In term of software all tasks can be seen as goals - somehow.
I am using the flags to distinguish various types of goals, which would be my recommendation.
By this you can create much better views by filtering for the flag as needed.
