Hi,

Yesterday I entered several critical tasks into the Rapid Entry tool, and then filed the emails away that triggered the action.  Later, I had to reboot my system, and did so with the shutdown button (Windows 7).  I was warned about one file in Word that I had to save before it Word would allow that it was closed.  Then the reboot occured.  Today, when I started MLO, I see that those tasks are not in my Inbox, nor where the preserved in the Rapid Entry tool.  Thus I lost them, and I no longer am sure what they all where!  I am screwed!

I tested this, again today, and indeed, also when you close MLO, with the Rapid Entry tool also open (but maybe not visible), MLO shuts down both, even if you have items in the Rapid Entry tool, and it does not warn you, it just deletes them.

Hmmm...  Yes also confirmed here on Win 7.  If you close the MLO app, then anything left in the RTE window is lost.
It seems like it would be good to have preference Options in the RTE area to either
[ ] Commit contents on exit.
[ ] Save RTE contents on exit.  (And put them back in the window when it's opened next.)
Probably there will be a small performance hit.

Somewhat related:
While checking this, I also noticed that the keyboard shortcut for the Rapid Task Entry tool does not show in the menu, like other shortcuts do...

I'm not sure that either of these is a "bug" per se.  They are things that Andrey can maybe add to the "todo list" though.  :-}

I have the the portable version of MLO on my laptop - and there, the RTE box saves the tasks in it until the next boot - not sure why there would be a difference.  Definitely should be the standard behaviour....

Like Mark, my version of MLO running on Win 7 saves the data in the RTE box.

Version: 4.3.2.2465 (a new release also just came out but I haven't tested in that version).

Quick test shows that it is saved. Will look into it more deeply.
