When trying to connect to MLO Cloud I get following message:

Could not login to server. Server response: "Unable to load WSDL File/Location: https://sync.mylifeorganized.net/mlo/MLOInetSync.asmx?wsdl
Error [Proxy Authentication Required (407) - 'https://sync.mylifeorganized.net/mlo/MLOInetSync.asmx?wsdl']"
  • I entered the correct credentials.
  • In the browser, I have to enter the proxy password once.
  • I can download the file with my browser.
  • I can access my cloud account.
Has anyone an idea what goes wrong?

Thanks
Jens

In MLO select File>Synchronization>Edit>SetupConnection>Advanced

Make certain that “use proxy server” is selected and that the proxy configuration is correct.

"use proxy server" is selected and I checked the configuration more than once ;)

Ok, too bad. That would have been the easy answer.

There's another checkbox on that same window,  something about using a secure connection.  Have you tried it both checked and unchecked?

Thanks Dwight,

I had to uncheck the secure connection. I thought I had tried this before. It also looked to me like the proxy can only be enabled with secure connection because it's slightly indented.

Now it's working.

Best regards
Jens

Hi, Jens.
I'm glad this worked for you. I would suggest that you consider this a temporary workaround and not a fix.  You are now using an insecure connection.  I will spare you my recitation of the disadvantages of using an insecure connection, but there are many. Even if security isn't that important to you, the fact that your Internet connection includes a proxy service suggests that someone near you is worried about security. I would suggest documenting to MLO Support that the connection from your device through your proxy to MLO cloud fails when it's secure.
