TaskClone http://www.taskclone.com/ is an online service whose purpose is to extract Evernote to-do items (i.e., text lines that have a check box symbol at the front of them) and send them to task applications and services. They have some product-specific pipelines to a few online services, but also a generic by-email way of sending a task along.

Using the generic by-email method I successfully sent a to-do item from within the text of an Evernote note to MLO.

One of the questions on TaskClone's site is why to use TaskClone if one's app or service already has Evernote support. Their answer is that they extract individual items from within an Evernote note rather than acting on a whole note.

Anyhow, if nothing else it might be an opportunity to get MLO in front of more people (TaskClone has a list of 40 or so apps they support; MLO can now be #41).

I don't think information can flow back to Evernote -- the idea is to capture items, i.e., to get to-do items from Evernote (say, meeting notes with to-do items here and there) into your task app/service of choice.

Thanks for sharing the link.  I checked out the website and looks like the free account is very limited.  As far as paid options go, I think gsyncit - http://www.fieldstonsoftware.com/software/gsyncit3/mobilesync.shtml is one of the better choices because it doesn't require a subscription.

From their support page gsyncit is about syncing outlook tasks to Google tasks and then Google tasks to Evernote notes.  TaskClone doesn't work with Evernote notes, but instead sends the individual todos (represented by items with a checkbox) directly to GQueues.  You get to try it for free, but you're right, can't continue to use with GQueues without a paid account.  It's only $12 a year though.
