I am running Wine on the Chromebook in Linux.

I was able to load everything fine, but I keep getting one of two error when I try to sync to the cloud.

'Could not log into server.  Server response: "Invalid pointer operation."'

or

'Could not log into server.  Server response: "Unable to load WSDL File/Location: https://sync.mylifeorganized.net/mlo/MLOInetSync.asmx?wsdl.  Error [Error receiving data: (12152) ]"'

Any ideas on what is going on?

Daniel,

I am running Ubuntu on a Dell. I am not a power user so I purchased Code Weavers' Cross Over app. They had a pre-made setting template to install MLO. Coincidentally, I just today connected to the cloud and had no issues. I don't work for Code Weavers, but have found them reliable to tell me which version of Windows works best with Wine for a given app.

Hope that helps.

John

I installed MS XML parser (msxm16), wininet, and xmllite using winetricks and that fixed it

I've played with Linux a little bit in the recent past, but that's the problem with it: How do you even know that things like  "MS XML parser (msxm16)", "wininet", and "xmllite" even exist, let alone when you'd need to consider installing them?
