I have problem with displaying Importance and Urgency values in the task statistics. Insome views I see the (correct?) value. In other views the values are all 0.000 or all N/A for the same tasks. I didn't find a rule yet what the specific views have in common.

It seems that all views with real value are without hierachy. But not all view without hierachy show real values.

Any idea what happens here?

I can't help but I would like to know what is going on. I learned that they have spared no expense to make sure that the importance and urgency measurements are mathematically sound and all work as they should.
So I don't see how there could be a mistake in using them but we really need to work this out!

So, first of all, Jens, do you feel that you have a good understanding of the Computed Score? It's documented at length in the User Manual, in case you are not. For other readers I will just mention that this is an early attempt to come up with a score that combines the current task's importance rating, urgency rating, time left until due date, importance and urgency of parents, grandparents, etc and probably some other stuff that I don't remember to develop a combined rating that is the app's best guess as to how soon this task should be taken care of (executed, cancelled, postponed, whatever). When you are looking at the importance and urgency in the task statistics setting, you are looking an interesting intermediate result in the computation of the computed score, and not looking at the actual importance or urgency setting of this task. If this is what you are trying to do then all is well. But if you really wanted to see the task's own importance and urgency ratings, you should look at the GENERAL section instead of TASK STATS.

Looking through my own tasks, the only ones I see with 0.000 are inactive tasks - inactive because start date is in the future, or the task is hidden, or the context is closed, or there is an unsatisfied dependency, etc. If you have any views where active tasks have 0.000 values I would love to see a screen print. Sometimes inactive tasks will have nonzero values - I dont know why but my best guess would be that these tasks were active once and these are the values from the last time computed score was computed for this task.

Hey Dwight,  Good description!  But...  I think what Jens meant was, that when you view your tasks in any outline view, the values show as N/A in the Task Statistics, but if you look at the same task under the ToDo lists, you do see values.  So the question is more one of 'why can I not see the value in all views?'

I came to the forum today with this question too!
