team collaboration

Has anyone successfully got this to work in a team environment?  I know there are old posts about this and that they say it isn't made to do that.  MLO works great for me and I just want to use tags to assign tasks to others.  I have been looking at several other programs but really don't want to give up what I have already built and have been using for years.  Every thing I have tried is so much more difficult to use and set up.
