I would like to be able to set subtask due dates to be dependent on the
due date of the parent task.

In other words, say I have a task called "Business Trip". I have a
subtask called "Book Airline" which I want to be 14 days before the due
date of "Business Trip" and another task called "Book Rental Car" that
I want to be 3 days before the due date of "Business Trip".

Now let's assume that the date of "Buisness Trip" changes. Currently,
if I reschedule "Business Trip" it seems that I have to manually
reschedule all of the child tasks as well. For a complex task, this is
very time consuming. I would prefer that all children be adjusted
automatically when the parent is adjusted.

I would like to be able to tag a child task as "relative" to a parent,
so that chnaging th eparent due date also changes the child's due date.

Can this be done currently???

Thanks!

A few weeks ago I posted a similar question
(http://groups.google.com/group/myLifeOrganized/browse_frm/thread/26c23ca7bd33f6af/62d5e1f62f99340a?q=&rnum=10#62d5e1f62f99340a).

And there seems to be a workaround which might help in some cases (see
Andrey's response).

But I think currently your requirement cannot be handled in general -
and I support your view that this would be a helpful feature.

I would LOVE this to happen! I built templates (workflows) for projects that require the same things to be done over and over again. Certain things need to be done 1 month before something else, but it would be amazing if I could set the project due date and have all the sub-task due dates automatically populate!
