What does the Green Bar indicates for?

As the thread topic says and also referred to the attached image, what does the Green Bar indicates for?  Thank you for your attention.

Under Format - use custom formatting - More - Highlight you can select a
"side bar color" for certain tasks (and their subtasks).

I'm using this for the top folders which are different areas of focus
with differently colored sidebars, so they are easily recognizable.
