Bug: changing daily to weekly entry

When I change the recurrence pattern from daily to weekly and the day in the week its due is other than the current day, MLO offer to automatically change the dates to match, but, because I have a start and and end date of the same day (which MLO puts in when I create a daily recurring pattern) than rather than just move both the start and the end date, MLO moves only the end date which incorrectly turns a one day task into a two or mare day task.
