Hi, Robert
To add tasks to a particular folder, two suggestions:
1. Bring up the Rapid Text Entry window (for instructions see the User Manual or come back here and ask). Click the Parent button, select the destination folder, then enter your tasks
2. Quickly navigate to the destination folder by collapsing your outline (F6) then clicking on the top-level parent you want, then the second-level parent etc. until you reach your destination folder. Click on the “create subtask” button (just to the right of the Big Red Button in the toolbar) (or Alt-Ins if you prefer keyboard) and enter your first task. Use the Big Red Button (or Ins) for subsequent tasks
For depth of outline, first become familiar with F6 and F7 for collapse all and expand all. Go to Tools>Options>Hotkeys and scroll down to the View section, then scroll down more to find four entries for Level-1 through Level-4. You have to assign a hotkey sequence to these before they become usable, be sure to avoid key sequences that are already assigned, in MLO or in Windows. You might also want to check out zoom-in.
