I can neither save nor run the download of the new release.
Norton puts up a box saying:
"MLO-Setup (2).exe.22o0rs4.partial is not safe and has been removed"
I've been trying for several days with the same result.
What can I do to fix this?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thank you for this message! We are 100% certain that it is a false positive detection since the new update for MLO does not contain any harmful files. We have already submit a dispute to Symantec, now we are waiting for their reply. Hope they will whitelist MLO very soon.
Meanwhile, you can follow advice from another user: "To get it to allow me to update,  I finally had to turn off Norton’s Auto-Protect mode."

We are glad to inform that the issue has been resolved. Here is the response from Symantec:

"We have verified your submission and as such this detection will be removed from our products. Please note that whitelisting can take up to 24 hours to take effect."
