Hello - I've been using MLO for 2 months and am still very confused on how to use Dependencies

I currently select a branch to complete all subtasks in order, but I don't want to set a firm date for each subtask.

Instead, I would like a subtask to be dependent on when the one above it is completed with a delay.  It seems Dependencies has a delay feature - but it doesn't seem to update a due date time.

For example, lets say I complete subtask A on Monday.  Is there a way to have Subtask B insert a due date 2 days later on Wed?

I've been hoping MLO would put out a video on how to use dependencies in their support section, but it says it has been coming for a while!  These videos are really helpful for new users.

Any advice?  Thanks.

Hi TellurideGypsy,

The "Dependency" feature in MLO is very powerful and incredibly well done. However the "Delay" option will affect when the next task will become "Active" but does not act on the dates.
You can see the "Active" state in the right pane, "Task statistic" section.

You can check out this article about the dependency: https://blog.mylifeorganized.net/2013/04/mylifeorganized-v41-tab-icons-and-more.html

Hi TellurideGypsy,

What you are asking for is already a MLO feature on Dependency: Just set the days you want and it will work.

Regarding dates, a day represents a date, so MLO works accordingly.
