Why is Wi-Fi sync limited to one device?

I would like to have wi-fi sync capabilities with both my smart phone (which I carry everywhere) and my tablet (which I don't).   Am I missing something?

Why not let me wi-fi sync with more than one device?

Asked the same 3 weeks ago, no answer so far.

I guess it's simply because this had not been a real issue in the past
before the iPad version was released (which I like very much).

But now, if you use an iPad and a phone, you always need to unpair and
re-pair again, which makes using both tablet and smartphone impossible
in practice.
