Useful link to MLO Shortcuts - (better than the MLO's own Help pages) - Wanna help maintain this?

Hi

1. If you are a new user of MLO I suggest you bookmark this page:
http://www.shortcutworld.com/en/win/MyLifeOrganized.html

2. Wanna help me maintain it?
I would like to add some more hotkeys to that page - however I'm now not 100% sure of what the defaults are!
e.g.
Ctrl/Shift/S ==> Star on/off
Ctrl/PgUp   ==> Previous tab
Ctrl/PgDown  ==> Next tab
Alt/S ==> Start date
Ctrl/H  ==> Hightlight task
Ctrl/Shift/M ==> Rapid Task Entry dialog box
Ctrl/Shift/Insert ==> New Folder

- Have I got the above correct?
- What have I missed out?
- Wanna help edit it?

BACKGROUND
Given how woefully inadequate MLO's own help pages are for describing MLO Keyboard shortcuts (poorly structured, and missing SEVERAL important shortcuts), I thought this topic needed its own thread
I have only just found the above link and it might help new users of MLO

P.S.
I am aware that it is a repeat of Andrei Bacean's link in this thread below, but I feel that it needs to be given more prominence!

Maybe it would be good if MLO had a feature to generate a text report of all its own keyboard shortcuts. I already have customized several. XYplorer lets you do this. You can generate a cheat sheet. It's nice.

Good idea.

PS. What are all these up and down arrows that have appeared?
I assume that they are for voting things up and down - but have they always been there? And how do they work?
e.g. if I vote +1 on all three replies what, if any, effect does it have?

(Bump!)
Okay if nobody stops me I shall attempt to add the following keyboard short cuts to

Ctrl/Shift/S ==> Star on/off
Ctrl/PgUp   ==> Previous tab
Ctrl/PgDown  ==> Next tab
Alt/S ==> Start date
Ctrl/H  ==> Hightlight task
Ctrl/Shift/M ==> Rapid Task Entry dialog box
Ctrl/Shift/Insert ==> New Folder

Hi John, I also support this idea.

Here is another suggestion:

Ctrl+l and Ctrl+shift+l to toggle the quick filter.

In the above post, the hotkeys are
Ctrl+L and Ctrl+Shift+L
I changed to uppercase to not confuse

I added the above hotkeys and also changed the hide in todo hotkey to Ctrl+e
changes are attached

John, i have checked the shortcuts and have some comments, see below:

Ctrl/Shift/S ==> Star on/off
Ctrl/PgUp   ==> Previous tab
Ctrl/PgDown  ==> Next tab

Alt/S ==> Start date
I guess we shall write more in the description, like this: Set Start Date for a task. If the task had no date, then Today will be used. John, you are a native English speaker, so please change the text as you think it's correct. Thanks.

Ctrl/H  ==> Hightlight task

Ctrl/Shift/M ==> Rapid Task Entry dialog box

Ctrl/Shift/Insert ==> New Sibling Folder
Maybe it's not worth to specify, what do you think?

Andrei

OK, I have added Ctrl L and called it "Quick filter text box"

But what does Ctrl+Shift+L do? (It appears to do nothing on my MLO!)

Yes although extremely not useful, it is crucial for ALL default hotkeys to be added as this will affect any new things we add.
For this reason I have added it.

NOTE: I have tried to put everything into some sort of alphabetical order. It's a bit messy whatever you do, but it was the most rational thing I could think of. And if you are checking to see what hotkeys have already been used it should help.

PS.
Can anyone tell me what [Alt]+[A] does?   It had the text "Toggle context Filter selector / To-Do list" opposite it.
However it does nothing on my MLO so for now I have simply removed it.

General note:
I don't have strong feelings about the contents of the page in question
(http://www.shortcutworld.com/en/win/MyLifeOrganized.html) other than
a) It needs to be kept up-to-date
b) the contents need to be as complete/comprehensive as possible.

Anyone feel free to add to the page as you see fit   :)

Bump?

Please can someone tell me what "Alt/A" does - or at least is supposed to do!
In my Tools > Options > Hotkeys > (scroll down by 3 screenfuls) it says: "Toggle Context Filter/To-Do"

However I can't get it do anything whatsoever !

Is this a bug? Or have MLO formally abandoned that that functionality? Or am I missing something?

PS  What about Alt/Y ?
MLO help says "Toggle hide in todo" but I can't get it to have any affect.   :^/
