I'm just curious - do people use the time required dimension?

I would like to use it, but it's too much hassle.

I would use it, if it worked the same way as importance / urgency / effort dimensions.

Right now, my workaround is using tags as a replacement for time dimension.

What's your situation?

My tagging substitute looks like this.

I use it to group tasks in the context specific views.

It feels like most naturaly understandable grouping for deciding and moving onto actual work when compared to other groupings I am using, such as effort, importance, urgency (urgency also works well for action taking), parent, top level parent, due date...

Pretty much same here.

I used to enter time effort, and target my total time, but now I use flags to group tasks by priority, ignoring time.

The only slight exception is that a “*” in the caption indicates that it is a quick-task, one that can be done with other similar ones quickly.  I used to enter 2 minutes in effort, but now I use the “*”.
