Calendar view - collapsed events or todos

I am very happy about getting the calendar view on the iPhone (6 plus is my iPad mini replacement). However, i find it annoying that when the events are expanded I can't see the todos. When the todo's are expanded, I can't see the events. Perhaps there is a way around this I don't see?

I think it would be nice to have the events visible always with a scrolling list of tasks underneath. It seems that comparing my tasks with a visible list of appointments would be very nice.

Is this possible?
