Hello

I have the latest Windows and Android versions, plus Cloud Sync. I have been using Android only for a while now, and sync to the cloud, but no other devices are connected to cloud sync. I would like to join the windows version to the same cloud file so that I can edit on the desktop. When I try that, it says that the cloud folder is not empty and should be empty.

How do I join the windows version to my existing android sync? If this is not possible, how should I do it? The Windows file has been synchronised to the Android a long time ago with Wifi Sync, but is way behind.

Thanks
David

It is definitely possible but the error message is not clear to me.
Can you post the specific error?

Have you synchronized your windows PC to any cloud file before?

Typing from a mobile device, I'll simply say both profiles regardless
of their name need to point to the same cloud file. You can set how
your windows system handles conflicts when the data doesn't match
(e.g. you edited on both the PC & android device). I have mine setup
to ask so I can choose each time.

After setting the conflict resolution you should be able to move
forward relatively worry free & experiment.

Absolutely you can sync with the PC, that's the main point, I think.

At one point I remember something about having to create the cloud file from the desktop and perhaps there is still a bug. I'd try this:

Use the desktop to create a new cloud file, and sync to it even if you have no/little data on the desktop.

On Android, first synchronize with your old file, so you have a backup. The file will then just sit there. Now, change your sync options to sync with the file created from the PC.

If anything goes wrong, CREATE A NEW PROFILE before you sync from the old (and uncorrupted) cloud file, just in case. You can always delete the old one and rename the new one, if you want (though it will mess up your widgets I think).

Lastly, if this works, report your previous error as a bug -- perhaps try to recreate it with test files.
