That’s odd. Sometimes different fields don’t paint right on the screen in MLO4, but if Ctrl+F isn’t working….
First, the search box should be located on the right end of the Navigation Toolbar. On my screen, the box is colored blue, and has a spyglass icon.
Second, is Search located under the Edit menu? Certainly should be. Is it grayed-out in that position?
Third, check the Hotkey Settings (Tools > Options > General Application Options > Hotkeys. Under Edit, you should see Ctrl+F configured for Search.
Can’t see anything here that would have turned Search off. Anyone else?
