Registration problem

I just registered MLO pro for Windows. MLO would not accept the registration code generated by share*it after purchase. I copied the registration code from the both the order results page in IE8, and from the confirmation email I received (Outlook 2010). Neither code worked. OS is Windows XP, and language is English (United States)

I was, however, able to register by by requesting the registration code through the MLO program itself, and pasting the registration code from the MLO activator email that I received.

The activation code produced by share*it contained some characters that my computer couldn't render (box containing question mark), whereas the activation code from MLO support didn't contain any such characters.
