How do I export my data from MLO on Android? To bring into another outliner program to play with?

Sounds like you would have to do it the way it has usually been done in other software: Convince the other outliner organization to make a utility that finds data from MLO Android and imports in appropriately.
Unfortunately they probably won't do it because they won't think the work would pay off in this case.

It would be good if we could find people experimenting with ways to extract the data from Android. I have found some methods for other Android apps.

If nothing in the outlines is sensitive, you could ask a user with the Windows desktop version to export it for you. I'm not an Android user, but assume that it has an option for emailing a backup copy, like the iPhone.

Maybe this "Backup Profile" option does it? hard to tell. I wonder if it's documented anywhere

Thanks for the ideas, everyone. Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution yet. I do like MLO, but I don't like the idea of not being able to export all the data I've entered into it. That's actually a deal breaker for me. This will be a good opportunity to go through everything while entering it into another, more flexible solution. Thanks again and best to all.

David,
Desktop version has an Export option and exports to XML.  I guess that's overlooked in the Android version.  I never actually looked for it there.
You might be able to get away with installing the desktop as a trial (30 days I think?), sync your profile and do an export from there.

I did it in Android version, forget what it's called, ...profile, and it emailed me a zip file with xml and csv. you can open csv as a speadsheet to see the tasks, though you'd have to learn what all the fields are to use the information
