i'm a big fan of MLO, but one thing i find lacking is integration in
google calendar (i did a search but didn't see much on that subject).
right now, when i enter a new task in MLO, i also enter it separately
on my google calendar, where i have a better weekly overview. is there
any demand for this, or how do other people solve it?
thanks
Tobias

I've been using an eval copy of a 3rd party product, CompanionLink,
that does fine with Contacts and Calendar, but tasks don't work. I
have an open issue with tech support about it.
I've since learned that Google itself has a free outlook sync tool. I
will attempt to play with it and report back over the coming week.

I meant syncing Outlook Tasks to the Tasks feature of google calendar.
I've been using an eval copy of a 3rd party product, CompanionLink,
that does fine with Contacts and Calendar, but tasks don't work. I
have an open issue with tech support about it.
I've since learned that Google itself has a free outlook sync tool. I

I have a lot of secondary calendars, which I want to map to categories in Outlook, and CompanionLink does this. I have it working well for Appointments and semi-well for contacts (I still have an issue with it messing up middle names which makes it so my Droid doesn't recognize my Facebook contacts, but it's pretty minor in the scheme of things).Google Calendar Sync will only sync events from your primary Google Calendar and your default Microsoft Outlook calendar at this time. If you've scheduled events on a secondary calendar in Google Calendar that you'd like to sync with your Microsoft Outlook Calendar, you can either move the event to your primary calendar or export your entire secondary calendar and import the events to your primary calendar.

What you describe is way too complicated for me. My conclusion is that
there is no good, clean, simple way to sync google tasks with
outlook.

I too tried gSyncIt. It seems to work fine, so I purchased a license.
At $15, it's quite reasonable. Here's the link, in case anyone else is
interested.

Hello,
I would like
to go farther with google calendar integration.
Not just a display matter, but use appointments as elements of MLO:
- an appointment being a due date for any task (moving an appointment will automatically change the due date of a linked task, deleting the appointment make the task useless or orphaned, needing review)
- an appointment being a context (considered “open” during the appointment, particularly usefull for weekly schedules)
- an appointment being a project (with its subtasks if relevant : stuff to do to prepare the meeting)
- etc.
