I am trying to get MLO on Wine / Mac OS X running.  It is working well, except for cloud syncing.  I get the following message in the log about “DelayLoad failed for crypt32.dll.CertStoreOpen” (I don’t have the exact message right now).

Is anybody able to use MLO CloudSync on Wine or Crossover (either Mac or Linux)?

You need to install IE7, or some sub-component of it:

Hi! I just got my Cloud Sync account today and was able to get MLO
syncing on a MacBook Pro with Crossover (v9.2).

I bought MLO for the iPhone just to test out the syncing with the
Cloud and Desktop back and forth and can report that is all working
fine and dandy for me, too.

Hope that helps to hear there is hope!

I got MLO + Wine + Cloud Sync to work without installing IE. It looks
to me like a problem with Wine's built-in msxml3 library. I installed
the MSXML 3 redistributable and forced Wine to use the Windows Native
msxml3.dll when running MLO and sync'd. I've done it on two Linux
systems, one running Debian (Lenny) and another running Ubuntu 10.04.

I put instructions here:

Hi

I have followed all the instructions on http://www.colickyclown.com/node/58
and am still not able to get the cloud syncing working with Wine. It
gives the following error, 'OLE error 80040152'.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

I also got this error just opening up MLO 4.1 with Wine 1.5.30 or trying to do anything in it.

Sorry to start up an old thread, but I'm having trouble syncing with the cloud on my implementation and it looks like I need to install another component.  I'm using MLO 4.1.1 on wine-1.6-rc4 on Ubuntu 13.04.  I have msxml3 (wine default - the instructions on the thread below have been removed), and ie7 installed.  Everything else seems to work with only minor gui issues.  I can use the WiFi Sync with my Android phone.

My problem is that the app hangs when I attempt to connect to the cloud.  It appears to hang on the verification of my username and password.  I believe that this worked before 4.1.0.

I've tried reinstalling MLO in wine and the above dependencies.  I've also tried re-establishing the sync profile in MLO.  I believe that I am missing another dependency introduced in the v4.1.0 upgrade.  Any ideas what it may be?

Thanks in advance

Steve

I found out that I could actually use Windows under VMWare on my corporate laptop so I switched from Wine. And I switched before I tried CloudSync so I can specifically talk to your issue, but I still would check out my thread on how I setup things for Wine - https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/mylifeorganized/wine/mylifeorganized/wK32vgXO3Cw/HzEIUvp9DjwJ. In particular I ended up enabling more tricks than you list including some more msxml* ones.
