Hello,
i've used TODOIST for some time now, and switched to MLO (back), because of MLO powerfull features…
But there's one "place" where TODOIST is much better, is the GUI.
i feel that todoist GUI is much more polished, with a very best usage of the available space (on smartphone) .
TODIST happen to put more information, much clearer in less space.
MLO should avoid theses ugly too big check boxes clogging  the gui space.
Too, in Windows/android, the sync features should be transparent to users (background daemon ?)
Last i'd like a calendar in the Windows version.

regards
Eric

Hello,
thanks for your feedback...As i can see MLO Team is careful about users experience...great!
The best thing to do is to open a TODOIST free account and see for yourself... My feeling is that TODOIST gui is much more space optimized than MLO. I "feel" as if the sreen is "bigger" with todoist ...on the same smartphone (5.2").
Thoses ugly square tick box on the MLO gui are part of that space waste (should be a small tick with no box at all.
I think it'll be easier to update MLO gui , than todoist to update the "engine" (it'll take months/years for todoist to acheive that!)

One another improvement i'll suggest :
- SYNC
On Todoist :  install, type loggin/passwd- Done everything sync within seconds (The sync process seems to happen within the cloud)
On MLO:  Sync process is happening mainly from the client side

TOO , a web client would be great... !

Regards and continue to improve an already very good product !

I used MLO and ToDoist together for a about one year.
MLO is great for its options and ToDoist is great for its UI, but...

In my opinion is not completely fair to compare to eachother.

ToDoist hast a great UI, but it is limited in options.
The interface of MLO is also great, but MLO is more designed for project management and ToDoist more as taskmanager.

I like both, but i prefer MLO

Hello,
Thanks for your comments !
BUT, as you've said, IF we could have the TODOIST GUI with the power of MLO.... It'll be great !

I have to agree with Henk as I'm currently using both, MLO for projects and Todoist for single tasks (that I need instant 2-way sync to GCal for). MLO is good for handling big complex projects while Todoist is essentially a list maker meant for simple lists. I was trying to use Todoist for complex projects but two or three teirs in and it looks really messy. Todoist's UI looks clean because it only has two columns, one for the task title and the date field. If the developer added more columns then they would lose that simple UI. Comparing MLO and Todoist really is comparing apples and oranges IMO.
