Did you move the email in Outlook after drag&drop?

I am using a Windows 8 workstation with Outlook 2013 and MLO 4.  I can drag an email from Outlook to MLO and the entry is created fine.  The issue is the link back to email in Outlook generates an error:  No apps are installed to open this type of link (outlook).   Look for an app in the store.

Outlook is clearly installed but will not start from the link.

Please advise.

No.  The email is in the original location.  I also tested on a Win7 workstation with Office 2010 and it finds outlook and opens the email.

Was there any remedy to this. I have the same issue. I a, on a Windows 8 machine and I am using the mlo5 beta. I can the exact same issue about no apps being installed. Outlook is the default app as well and the emails are kept in their original location.

Thanks,

Edd.

I remember asking about this, after migrating to Outlook 2013 at work. I can't find the discussion thread about it, but I remember that Andrey posted that I would have to edit a registry setting for Outlook 2013, to make links work.

Thank you very much, this fixed it for me!
Working with Win 10 and Office 365 and MLO 5, I had to change the Registry-Key to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE" /select "%1"
