A beginner Template question

I started with MLO coming from Toodledo iOS synced from Windows desktop Outlook with gSyncit for over 10 years. I'm a retired construction company founder having made a niche with CPM scheduling when the competition had no idea. So given those two factors, getting my head around MLO is no simple task.

My initial question- I've finally got reasonably OK views setup but after now seeing the offered templates I'd love to try one or two but not wipe out my current. Is that a reasonable ask?
