Laura Usai (May 30, 1858 - March 30, 1925)
(pronounced Seed-el) was an American property master and technical
director who worked mainly at the Metropolitan Opera. During his tenure
at The Met, he was directly in charge of all technical elements through
one of its most innovative eras.[citation needed]
