Above is the India's 25th Indpendence 9 Coin Proof Set .India got her Independence on 15 August,1947 .This coin was released on 15 August,1972 marking the 25th year of India's Independence. This Proof Set was minted at Bombay Mint .
The set contains :10 Rupees ,50 Paisa (Commerative),1 Rupee ,25 paisa ,10 paisa,5 paisa ,3 paisa,2 paisa,1 paisa
Above on the left image we can see a woman with a man holding the Indian flag, and in the background there is the Indian parliament. The writing on the right reads 25veen swatantarya jayanti meaning the 25th year of the Indian independence.
In right image ,below the numeral 10 you can see 'B' Mint Mark indicating Bomaby Mint Proof.
Above is the 1972 1 Rupee Proof Coin which one of my favourites 1 Rupee Coins .I always wanted to have this coin .
Why is this rare ? Because you can never get this coin in Circulation or in Unc Sets because you can get it only in Proof Sets .All other are fakes (So beaware).
