Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to support and manage enterprise infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), managing enterprise server infrastructure, supporting Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms, and handling Wintel administration activities. This role requires hands-on expertise in system administration, infrastructure operations, patch management, cloud technologies, and enterprise platform support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support enterprise-scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments in production.
  • Manage day-to-day Unix/Linux server operations, ensuring system stability, security, and availability.
  • Perform server configuration, account administration, OS maintenance, patching, and lifecycle management for physical and virtual servers.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and ensure operational readiness across enterprise environments.
  • Perform vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and compliance activities in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters.
  • Support Linux environments hosted on cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Execute infrastructure changes related to disaster recovery (DR), data center migrations, capacity planning, and system upgrades.
  • Implement server configuration changes, hardware/software upgrades, repairs, and performance tuning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to minimize service disruptions and improve platform reliability.
  • Maintain operational documentation, system procedures, architecture diagrams, and support guides.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.

Wintel Administration Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Active Directory (AD) environments.
  • Administer user accounts, security groups, and access controls.
  • Configure and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Support and troubleshoot DNS and DHCP services.
  • Perform server administration and maintenance activities within Windows environments.
  • Coordinate platform changes, upgrades, and migration activities across Wintel infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Linux System Administration.
  • Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration within enterprise production environments.
  • Experience managing both physical and virtual server infrastructures.
  • Strong understanding of Linux performance tuning, troubleshooting, security, and system optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift and/or enterprise Kubernetes platforms.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience supporting Linux workloads in AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of server patching, vulnerability management, and security best practices.
  • Experience supporting disaster recovery, data center migrations, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills are highly preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in large enterprise or managed services environments.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management, and change management practices.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices.
