Position: Network Administrator - Remote

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in a secure hybrid cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with LAN/WAN technologies, network security, cloud-integrated networking, and government security compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Network Engineering
    (or equivalent degree)
• Must possess an active CompTIA Network+ Certification or equivalent certification.
• All experience used to satisfy the qualifications must have been performed within the last fifteen (15) years.
• Resumes must clearly document month and year for each engagement supporting experience claims.

Required Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in each of the following areas:

Network Infrastructure & Administration

• Designing, implementing, and managing:
  • LAN/WAN networks
  • Routers
  • Switches
  • Network topology

Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Utilizing monitoring and diagnostic tools such as:
  • Wireshark
  • SolarWinds
  • Other enterprise network monitoring tools

Network Security

• Configuring and maintaining network firewalls including:
  • External-facing firewalls
  • Internal segmentation firewalls
• Applying security patches and firmware updates to network devices

Network Configuration

• Setting up and managing:
  • VLANs
  • Subnets
  • Routing configurations

Documentation & SOPs

• Creating and maintaining:
  • Network diagrams
  • Configuration documentation
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Cloud & Hybrid Networking

• Implementing and supporting hybrid network configurations integrated with cloud platforms such as:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • AWS
  • Other cloud environments

Compliance & Security Standards

• Working within government-regulated environments and ensuring compliance with standards such as:
  • NIST
  • Security best practices
  • Network hardening standards

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience in enterprise or government environments
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within infrastructure teams

• Maintain and optimize enterprise network infrastructure
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues
• Implement secure network segmentation and firewall policies
• Support cloud-connected hybrid networking environments
• Ensure systems remain compliant with security and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures
• Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams for network improvements and incident response
