Dear GS/Treasurer,

May I draw your attention to few pending actions and request the update for the same.

1. When can we expect the financial statements for quarter ending 30 SEP 2025.

2. After the meeting called for inputs regarding tax appeals, we have not yet received any updates. Can you please share what is approach adopted along with potential risks.

3. On Solar, what is plan of action to recover the Bank guarantee of Rs.20 lacs and residual task completion from the defaulting vendor.

4. What is the plan of action with respect to surplus funds of 1.7 crs from FY 2024-25. This is a mandatory item to be disclosed in AGM as per byelaw . I had raised this at AGM bit still a formal response is awaited. You cannot say that it is required to meet inflation or pending capex ( many capex items have been approved from previous budget and just pending execution. Meaning sufficient funds are available for both maintenance of 2025-26 and pre-approved pending capex items)

5. When would you be publishing the minutes of the AGM which is overdue.

Thanks ,
Shraddhesh

Thank you,
Ram.

I understand that the Managing Committee is handling a number of matters simultaneously. However, it appears that there is limited focus on some of the most critical financial and statutory issues, as most of these items remain pending or delayed.

It was noted that considerable time and resources were allocated to investigating and communicating about the Rs. 15,000 repair voucher. In contrast, there seem to be significant delays in addressing key financial and statutory matters.

It would be appreciated if the society’s and management’s resources could be prioritized towards critical issues first.

As an example, the tax appeals and fraud recovery cases involving amounts in crores appear to have seen very limited progress or communication updates so far.

In addition, could you please share an update on the recovery related to ghost attendance?

Thanks ,
Shraddhesh

Hello Shraddesh,

#1 - We are working on it we will release it by 2nd week of December.

#2 - Our Finance team will respond to this query soon.

#3 - Since there has been no progress or follow-up in the last eight months, we reached out to the vendor multiple times in the last 2 months. He has agreed to meet us after 25th November to discuss the pending work. We will be able to share further updates only after this meeting. He has also assured that he will provide the GST bill and resume the pending work by the end of this month. However, given the long gap and lack of response so far, our expectations are limited.

#4 - The 20 paisa cushion collected and explained by the then Treasurer/MC was meant to address various essential works that required immediate attention. Many of those works were left pending, which is why the leftover amount cannot be considered as savings. We will discuss this matter in the MC meeting and decide how best to utilize the funds. Most likely, the remaining amount will be used to complete those pending works

#5 - Please check the recent mygate notification about the AGM MOM.

Regards
Ram Dornala
General Secretary - MHVWA
