Dear Vihangans,

As we know that we are one of largest residential society in this region and with current scale of operations, dozens of vendor engagements and large infrastructure we need some modifications or addition in by-laws to regulate our community best possible way in terms of transparency, efficiency and inclusiveness. So this is time we should review existing generic by-laws copies from somewhere and tune it best for MHV.

Here are few suggestions for by-laws modification/amendments based on various discussion in different groups :

  1. Share expenditure and account details quarterly with Owners.
  2. Increase MC number from 10 to 20. Mandatory representation from every block.
  3. Once elected MC member will not participate next two cycle.
  4. Reduce MC tenure from 2 years to 1 year.
  5. Constitute ethics and compliance team with non-MC members.
  6. Official communication channel from MC and turn around time for questions/requests
  7. Open house discussions every month : Existing major problems to be discussed until they are solved/concluded Future road map and time lines.
  8. ...... few more
Please feel free to add your thoughts/suggestion on this for further discussion so that we conclude set of modification we want to get passed in upcoming GBM : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-KKAF_5v4k9Pt2zGotu8IlLQxkrsaI80A_50cT0ACp0/edit#gid=0

Dear Sirs,

Do not know both of you and actually none of you in the group except that we are part of MHV community.

An initiative is taken by someone, in this case, to propose amendments to bylaws. I do not see a reason for questioning authority. We can raise concerns and make objections.

I am a lawyer myself and I appreciate the effort put here by someone for a common cause. Does not mean that I support the actual content but we need to respect the initiative taken.

Once again, if any questions or if there are any objections to such initiatives are there then first discuss this bilaterally to understand the cause for putting this initiative before raising it as an issue in a group.

Sorry did not mean to be disrespectful to anyone here. Thank you everyone and enjoy MHV.

Kind regards,
Sagar

Agree with Sagar's views...something is being in good faith and voluntarily. It is just a proposal. No harm in discussing.

Unless MC creates a subcommittee for this , this task may not be possible. MC should not wait any longer (not even for open house). Also MC should clarify if all the articles of bye-laws are applicable in the current environment including GBM decision when MHC is maintaining the property.

If we get clarity on these two points i believe we can take decision in Open House to hold GBM asap.

+1,Agree with sagar.

I don't know why question arises for authority,As a owner anybody can propose good things for MHV community. It is just a proposal and clearly mentioned for further discussion.
