Problem starting program

Yesterday I had a problem trying to get file@home to start. It began
to load and the splash screen showed but then it hung. I tried re-
booting and same thing happened. I tried going to the website to see
if there was anything there that would help but I wasn't able to get
the webpage to load. All other webpages I tried loaded without
problem. Is there some sort of process that goes on during the program
loading that depends on it contacting the website before the program
can completely load? Might have just been a coincident that neither
worked. Today both program & website are working for me fine.

We've seen the error logs showing that the site was down at a few
points over the weekend, which will have been the cause of the problem
that you saw. The application would have started once it had reached
its timeout limit. We'll be monitoring the situation and will update
the application/blog with any updates.
