I got ambitious awhile ago and bought a electric ducted fan F-86 so I could get started in RC. I had flown a couple planes before, with varying degrees of success, and figured it would be cool to have a jet. Well, that thing flew pretty well, but was way too fast for a beginner and I augered it in twice. It's still flyable, but I think I might start on something a little more tame until I get better. I'd like something with ailerons so it'll be easier to transition to the F86 when the time comes. What would you recommend? Anybody in the community?

I´ve a question: Why don´t you try just a Wing instead of experiment with a fuselage plane? That could help you with your FPV goal.

I know this site is in german but with the help of google you should understand the important things or just ask me, i would like to help you.

I have a good question!

 

Can we please engineer Trent a real fix to his reacurring motor mount problems?

Im pretty good on CAD, have you thought about moving the motor to on top of its current postion and a few inches back. Just enought so that the shaft is extended past the nose for prop clearance.

then you could take that flat nose on the MTP3 and make it more aerodynamic?

Trent, I'm a Beginner now stepping into the Intermediate Stage but there's a catch....... I totally have not idea what Second plane I should Get. I'm running on a very tight budget ...around USD$40-75. What could you recommend ?
