Persidangan Sumber Terbuka Malaysia 2014 atau dengan ringkasnya MOSCMY 2014 adalah acara tahunan anjuran Komuniti Sumber Terbuka Malaysia dengan kerja sama IMS ASIA. Ia akan diadakan pada 24 dan 25 September 2014. Tema persidangan untuk tahun ini adalah "Open Hardware".
Salah satu ciri baru daripada Malaysia Open Source Conference MOSMY adalah peluang untuk perwakilan untuk menghadiri bengkel 2 jam yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman Perisian Sumber Terbuka dan Teknologi. Bengkel ini meliputi pelbagai topik, bagi memastikan bahawa terdapat sesuatu untuk setiap orang.

(1) Azani Arshad LPI, Master Affiliate for ASEAN
Azani has tremendous experience in the IT and Telecom industry for the last 20 years. He started his career in the hospitality industry and then moved to financial and banking industry in
developing the financial trade system.
Upon joining LPI, Azani has been heading numerous important technical projects, including one where he designed and built a state---of---the---art 24/7 contact center in Malaysia. He has also been working with a company called Panapto, a US---based company which specialized in providing software solution for video lecture capture in Education and Enterprise market.
Currently, he is driving the business development for LPI in ASEAN region in Education and Enterprise markets.
(2) Ryusuke Kajiyama MySQL Sales Consulting Manager, Asia Pacific & Japan
Kajiyama-san is responsible for pre-sales activities, covering all Asia including GC, HK and India. He also work as certified MySQL instructor, delivering trainings in those regions.
Prior to joining Sun (MySQL), he worked as Systems Consultant at Nomura Research Institute, Japan’s largest consulting firm, working on systems design of mission critical
enterprise systems utilizing open source software. Major customers are Nomura Securities, E*Trade Japan, Seven-Eleven, Japan Post, and Nikkei Inc. He is well-versed in both business and technology of open source software.
(3) Zainoz Zaini
Full time software developer freelancer, specially in Android Native App Developm
Workshop 8 This session share on how to utilize your mobile phone’s sensors to digitally enhance your real world view by augmented reality(AR) based app. With value that generated by sensors, our real world can be simulated with a combination of the real scene viewed by the user and a virtual scene generated by the device/computer that augments the scene with additional information.
(4) Sam Suresh
He is BSc in Information Technology holder whom owns Multimedia an Open Source Learning Center (MU DOT MY).
Sam involves in various open source projects since 2007. He is a global community working group member of
Joomla! project. Currently he serves as global forum moderator, Joomla language coordinator and Joomla! certification team member.
Sam delivered hundreds of open source training to government and corporate sectors since his involvement in MU DOT MY and presented various projects to ministers. He also serving as a consultant for Maxis flagship CSR, Asean Cyberkids Camp.
(5) Ahmed Noor Kader Mustajir Md Eusoff
Ahmed Noor Kader Mustajir Md Eusoff will talk about how raspberry pi can help to reduce the cost in computing (hardware) in daily life and also education. By lowering the cost, people able to buy the pi board and with the help/guidance from few website, a lot of thing/innovation can be done base on their creativity mind. It also can help to nurture young mind with a good DIY exposure.
(6) Sven Schutz
Sven joined IBM in 1999 to study IT and finished with a Bachelor of Science in 2002, in turn joining IBM as a full time employee. He
started working in an internal data center in the Boeblingen lab supervising the SAN and Ethernet network. That is when he first got in touch with the mainframe and got to know it well in terms of hardware and connectivity. In 2006 Sven changed to development where he held a couple of positions, including an assignment to the zfcp team - the team responsible for the SCSI kernel driver for Linux on System z.
In 2009 he took over the responsibility of the Linux on System z Service team, focussing on world wide client support, client care and more and more pre-sales activities. Liking the pre-sales focus, Sven decided to take on a new challange in 2013 when joing the ATS ASEAN team to support the growth of the mainframe, especially new workload with Linux on System z and z/VM.

(8) Muhammad Najmi Ahmad Zabidi
Muhammad Najmi Ahmad Zabidi is a avid Android custom kernel developer, specifically on Nexus 4 device (codename: mako). Fulltime lecturer at Department of Computer Science, KICT, IIUM, Currently pursuing PhD at UTM Skudai in malware research Developing the following custom kernel for Nexus 4 for both CyanogenMod based and Android Open Source Project (AOSP) based ROMs: Aufa Kernel, Zulfa Kernel, Pandan Kernel and Ampang Kernel
(9) Steven Cooper
Steven Cooper is responsible for working with the strong developer community within Asia-Pacific, to develop and nurture the healthy start-up culture that continues to flourish across the region.
Over the last 20 years, Steven has worked as a senior developer for a host of start-ups and as a developer analyst for more than 10 years with Sensis. Before joining PayPal, he configured and spec’d mass production technology hardware for the likes of Virgin, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Visa, St. George and Westpac.
In his current role, Steven hopes to align businesses with the most appropriate PayPal solutions - products that deliver efficiency, flexibility and enable scalability.
The Keynote: The emergence of IoT and how its reshaping how we interact with the digital world (ill include some beacons maybe too).
