Whatkind of 32-bit plugins are you referring to? You may want to use the iTunes for older video card version if you are having issues using the standard download with your setup. See this link for the download. Apple - Support - Downloads

The problem is I use the Last.fm Scrobbling plugin, which is 32 bit and if you copy the plugin into the relevant folder of iTunes you get a plugin-failed-to-load style message every time iTunes starts until you remove it.

The above plugin doesn't have a 64bit version available so having upgrading iTunes I'm now stuck - I held out upgrading due to a bug I had previous but finally bit the bullet - and now I am forced onto a version that seems to have no way to run 32bit plugins and Apple won't allow me to install 32bit iTunes.

My understanding is that some have said this is a 32-bit version of iTunes. However, if you go to that page I showed you, and then select the Browse by Product Button, then select iTunes, there is a link for the 32-bit version. You may, however run into issues with the library being created on a newer version. I'll try to find you a document on taking care of that issue. You can also use this ASC User tip for additional into on downloads. Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates This user has information about library issues. I'm trying to locate it now. Actually, the info you need is under the Further Information section of that document.

The link that Chris provided (the "for older video cards" version) is exactly what you're looking for - the 32-bit iTunes application with a 64-bit installer. Prior to iTunes 12.1 this was the architecture of all "64-bit" versions; only 12.1 and 12.2 have had a genuine 64-bit application.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled many many times with 64 bit itunes. It shows in task manager as 32 bit version. Therefore it will not connect to my ipod. Receiving the error message of Ipod is not compatible with this version, need to uninstall and reinstall 64bit version. I have Windows 8.1 & a 5th Gen Ipod touch, everything worked fine til an update at the end of January. HELP Please!? A computer professional spent 12 hrs working on this and it still is not rectified.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").

(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi again.)

It's my exeptcde that all Windows apps the installer has an 32 and 64 bit version and the installer picks what version to use based on what hardware Windows is saying is installed. So if Windows 7 in runing 32 bit mode then the the installer will put in the 32 bit version even if you have an 64bit computer.

It wounf let add as a guy who pefers making an Computer for running Windows I never have that kind of iusse becuase I always konw I have 64 Bit Windows on 4 bit hardware vs 32 bit Windows on 64bit hardware like permade the PCs from places like HP offen are.

Like I was saying earlier, just change the install path from "C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes" to "C:\Program Files\iTunes" and the issue will fix itself, iTunes will just kind of beleive that it is a 64-bit program and all files will be installed to the correct location

The 64-bit version of iTunes contains a mix of 32-bit & 64-bit components. There is no choosing the install folder. If it hasn't installed properly I'd suggest trying the steps in the second box of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates and starting over.

Apple made popular this full-featured mp3 player-organizer and now it has a new version which is available for Windows users too. iTunes is thought to be one of the most completes tools to organize and play mp3 music files and the perfect partner for your iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod touch or iPhone. No matter the iPod you have, iTunes will suit it perfectly.

With iTunes you will be able to create and edit your playlists, search for your sound collection, create CD jewel inserts using album art and song listings. copy to your HD the music in your CDs or even create and burn your own CDs.

And if you have an iPod or an iPhone, you can sync it with iTunes, fast, effortless, and simple with the built-in Auto-Sync. Keep your iPod filled with all the newest additions to your iTunes library.

Yes, iTunes (64-bit) still runs on Windows. Apple replaced it in macOS Catalina in 2019, but on Windows it is still supported, including updates and other new features to make it easier for iPhone and iPad devices to interact with Microsoft's operating system.

To transfer files from iPhone to PC with iTunes (64-bit), you have to connect your iPhone via USB to your PC. After that, click on the device icon, and click on Settings to see what kind of content can be synchronized. After selecting it, click on synchronize, and all the items you have synchronized will be copied to the PC.

Uptodown is a multi-platform app store specialized in Android. Our goal is to provide free and open access to a large catalog of apps without restrictions, while providing a legal distribution platform accessible from any browser, and also through its official native app.

With the latest (for me at this time) iTunes, Apple appears to have discontinued the ability to download the iTunes64Setup.exe utility, if your machine is Windows 10 64-bit (x64). It now appears to be restricted to the Microsoft Store App iTunes.

Unfortunately for me, my developer machine has been unable to get iTunes to update itself with a new version of iTunes for quite some time now (at least, since 12.0). I have to do a complete uninstall, then reinstall of iTunes, to get the new version going.

My attempts to get the iTunes App from Microsoft Store to work, have proved to be unsuccessful, to wit: the App will install and recognize my music, but is unable to install the appropriate iPhone driver. It attempts to do so with a message "the driver required for this iphone is not installed" and begins downloading something that it cannot install, despite many unsuccessful attempt to do so. This includes reboots and "Run As Administrator".

However, lucky me, I discovered on my own, how to fool the Apple website to download the latest iTunes64Setup.exe (probably used by Windows 7 SP1 x64 users), by using the hacked-together URL: I hope Apple does not close this loophole, or if it does then restore the ability of Windows 10 machines to get the EXE and skip Microsoft Store altogether. For those in a similar situation, I hope this URL helps you out too.

It is available from the normal downloads, just a bit hidden. From the screen showing the MS Store downloads, scroll down a bit to "Looking for other versions?" and choose Windows. You will be taken to another screen where the regular download is available. You might have to scroll back up a bit depending on your browser

Hmmm. The screen is sensitive to the client running it. For Chrome (my favorite Windows browser), running on Windows 10, clicking the choice under Looking for Other Versions merely toggles the display, which goes back-and-forth from either Windows Store or Windows, and doesn't take me anywhere. After playing around with it some more, I find that toggling the display this way does change the behavior of the link at the top, but is often hidden because it is so high on the screen that it usually is "off page" (not visible) thus this other behavior is far from obvious.

Thanks for this! Installed a clean installation of Windows 10 and tried to download iTunes for them but nothing. Apple Web site only allows download through Windows 'CRAPP' store (No Download Link on apple Site) Windows App Store kept bombing out! I started the download with your hack now - thanks!

I've tried upgrading iTunes, un-installing and reinstalling. Removing all Apple software from my machine. Running the installer with administrative rights. Installing Quicktime independently of iTunes. I've searched everywhere I can about this error I'm experiencing and I still haven't resolved the issue. I've even been through Apple's support article.

Acording to the statistics found under my System in the Control Panel, I am in fact running on a 64-bit OS. Below is the error I'm faced with during installation. Clicking OK cancels the installation wizard.

If you're not sure which OneDrive version is better for you, you can review the reasons to choose the 64-bit version, the 32-bit version, ARM64 version for Windows, or the Apple silicon version for Mac. If you know what version you want, you can learn how to install it.

To change from 32-bit to 64-bit or vice versa, use the links above. You'll need to make sure the version you install is the same version as you currently have, or newer. Check out Which version of OneDrive am I using? for more information.
