Iroquois Valley Farms LLC acquires its first farm in Michigan, impacting another "local and organic" family farmer.

Iroquois Valley Farms announces the acquisition of a new 238 acre farm in central Michigan. With a base of operations in Illinois and Indiana, the company has now purchased farmland in Michigan and is looking at other Midwest/Great Lakes states for expansion in the near future.  Current holdings include over 1300 acres of transitional and organic farmland.

Since 2007 Illinois-based Iroquois Valley Farms LLC has been supporting sustainable agriculture by purchasing farmland for long term lease to family farmers. Many prospective farm tenants are third or fourth generation farmers looking for more land to grow their business. The new purchase is part of the company's Young Farmer Land Access Program. In the last year, over $5 million of farmland has been purchased by the company for lease to young farmers.

Individuals seeking financial stability and participation in the growing business of producing local and healthy foods are increasingly supporting this established, private company. Many are using their IRA's and retirement plans to get started.

According to David Miller, CEO and co-founder of Iroquois Valley Farms, the investment theme is simple, "We're offering a unique growth opportunity supported by an appreciating and renewable real asset. Focusing on soil health and local and organic foods will naturally grow revenues and enhance the long term value of these farms."

Iroquois Valley Farms LLC was incorporated in Illinois in 2007 to connect investors with organic farmland and family farmers.  For more information, see our website: www.iroquoisvalleyfarms.com
