Repeating events not showing in any calendar

I set up about 15 repeating weekly events, that were showing up correctly in both the events map widget and the events listing short code at the end of March.

Now that we're in April, everything just shows NO EVENTS.

I've checked every single event info line - they are set with beginning and ending date and time, set to weekly, repeating every 1 week... the widget is set to SHOW UPCOMING EVENTS.

No idea how to move forward - about to switch to another calendar solution -- if this is not a bug please help.
