Map... not recognizing addresses or lat/long

Hello,

Regardless of whether I include an address or the lat/long coordinates the map for any/all events comes back showing me a section of Australia near Sydney.  I take it that this is just some setting somewhere in the code.  How do I get rid of it so the map I need appears?

Same for me. I don't know what it is showing but it is always a forest somewhere. I tried adding the suggested footer script:

<script src="http://maps.gstatic.com/intl/en_us/mapfiles/api-3/9/1/main.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

And I tried it in multiple other places such as header, on the page itself, etc. and no go.
