Hi - I am trying to figure out the simple shortcode that allows me to display all upcoming events, thus eliminating the need for the user to scroll through various months to find the next event. How do I do this?

I guess to clarify this, I'm seeking a shortcode that will do the following:
  • Display an event with a specific event type
  • Display it in a list with all events with that type so no scrolling is required between months
  • Not show previous events
I have tried much with shortcodes and can't seem to get what I describe above. Thanks!

Have you tried this?
[add_eventon event_count="5"]

I did and it still made me scroll through the months.

Here's the closest I got:

[add_eventon show_upcoming='1' number_of_months='3' hide_empty_months="yes"]

However, the empty months did not work and I also want to add specific event categories to this. Any ideas?

Can you post a link to your site so I can see the 'empty months' that are still showing?

Thanks!

Hi wss310,

Try this shortcode and see if it fixes your issue.

[add_eventon_list number_of_months="10" show_upcoming="1" hide_empty_months="yes" ]

Are you using multiple shortcodes down the page or just what you have previously pasted in last message?

You may want to show the 'add_eventon_list' value to achieve what you are looking for. This will hide the empty months.

To achieve this, make sure to use the "Events List" from the shortcode Generator.

Let me know if this helps, if it isn't functioning the way you want still, please reply and let me know.

Regards,
Mike

[add_eventon_list number_of_months="10" show_upcoming="1" hide_empty_months="yes" ]

I pasted this code on widget and still shows empty months.

Thanks
