Version 4.4 not working after installation

After installing version 4.4 of EventON recently my upcoming events widget(s) are no longer showing on my homepage (which is the location I display them). Instead of seeing the info that was there prior to the update, I now have 3 boxes that have an a type of shade animation running across them. 

When I check from my WP Dashboard everything appears to be fine, I see no problems on the backend when using the debugger, however they still don't display correctly on the homepage. Also I've attempted rebuilding the widget in different ways, layouts, etc. The result doesn't change.
